100 Days Until the Election: Reflections from Our Shoots Team

By FP1 Strategies

July 26 marks 100 days until November’s midterm elections. With several primaries still ahead and competitive general elections underway, the road crew is entering the busiest stretch of the cycle. Between now and November, our travel coordinators, camera team, production coordinators, producers and directors will be working hard to pull off shoots across the country for an impressive roster of clients.

Although we’re in our busiest stretch, that doesn’t mean the first seven months were a cakewalk.

Since January, our team has completed more than 30 shoots across 18 states, including multi-day productions in Alaska, Michigan and Iowa. Along the way, the team logged 193 flights and nearly 665 hours in the air. Every flight, call time and long day on set has been driven by one goal: creating the compelling, authentic content our clients need to tell their stories and communicate to voters.

“Every election cycle means longer days, less sleep and more time on the road. The strength of the team at FP1 is what gets us through it. Everyone understands their role and executes it flawlessly. Even as priorities shift and schedules evolve, the team navigates each change with grace. That’s the secret sauce that keeps turning out award-winning ads every cycle,” says Managing Director and in-house camera operator Kyle Klase.

Most recently, Kyle traveled with the team as Director of Photography for an announcement video and series of testimonial ads for a candidate launching a 2027 campaign. Even in the thick of the 2026 midterms, the team is already working ahead! When asked what would get him through the next 100 days, Kyle’s answer was simple: energy drinks. Spoken like a true road warrior.

While Kyle is a seasoned member of the road crew, entering his now sixth election cycle, others on the team are experiencing their first election cycle.

“Having only been here about 100 days, I can say I’ve packed a lot of learning into that time,” says Associate Nolan Iverson. “I’ve spent a solid portion of my time here on the road, and it’s been great to dive in and learn the process. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the team, being on set and seeing how everything comes together, and I’m looking forward to creating more content as my first election cycle at FP1 ramps up.”

From the snow-capped mountains in Alaska to 100% humidity in Florida and countless adventures in between, our team has traversed the country shooting the best ads for our clients, and we’re ready to continue to do so in the final stretch.
