The AI Gold Standard

By FP1 Labs

On March 26, FP1 Strategies won four Pollie Awards for our AI-generated ad, “Name That Nancy,” which ran in the gubernatorial primary in South Carolina. This humorous parody ad exposed several liberal positions and actions that Congresswoman Nancy Mace has taken.

Below are the Pollies that “Name That Nancy” earned.

  • Artificial Intelligence – Best Digital Creative – Gold Pollie
  • Digital – Best Use of Humor – Gold Pollie
  • Digital – Best Use of Negative or Contrast – Gold Pollie
  • Digital – Independent Expenditure Campaign for Governor – Silver Pollie

Earlier this spring at the Reed Awards, a separate FP1 ad, “Show Dog,” earned the top AI award from Campaigns & Elections. “Show Dog” won a total of four Reed Awards, including:

  • Best Use of AI Technology by a Creative Agency
  • Outstanding Copywriting in an Online Ad
  • Best Social Video
  • Best Online Video for a Primary Campaign

Winning eight creative awards in a single year for our AI advertising is a significant achievement. In 2025, FP1 went all in on harnessing the power of AI to strengthen our creative process. From ideation to scripting to editing and testing, AI is now deeply embedded into the way we make ads, and the results are speaking for themselves. Our usage of AI is saving our clients time and significant money. Both “Name That Nancy” and “Show Dog” were high concept spots that would have each taken over $100,000 to shoot and weeks to plan. We produced both ads in a single day. For “Show Dog,” our iterative process with Gemini really paid off. The concept started with Wesley Hunt paired with a sleepy basset hound. After a couple of iterations, we landed on using a Pomeranian that completely emasculated Congressman Hunt and his big muscles. Our ability to use synthetic audiences to run simulated focus groups of AI personas that match the voters we need to persuade is allowing us to red team our ads before they ever hit the airwaves.

In 2026, FP1 has won a total of 28 Pollie and Reed Awards – more than any other Republican consulting firm. We’re constantly asking AI questions, iterating to develop award-winning ads, and deploying technology to test our scripts and ads against synthetic audiences. We were curious about what AI thinks about our leadership in the industry, so we asked Gemini the following question. Which political advertising agency in America is the most innovative in using generative AI to create campaign ads? Here’s what Gemini had to say:

As of early 2026, FP1 Strategies is widely considered the most innovative political advertising agency in the United States regarding the creative application of generative AI.

Their leadership was solidified at the 2026 Reed Awards, where they were named “Best Use of AI Technology by a Creative Agency.” The firm has moved beyond simply experimenting with AI, instead embedding it into their entire production workflow from initial script ideation to testing ads against synthetic audiences.

P.S. – Our first draft of this blog post was graded an A- by Gemini. Our final draft was given an A+. We then cross-checked the post with Claude. After making a couple of edits, Claude also graded our blog post an A+. In our pursuit of setting the AI Gold Standard in politics, our team inside FP1 Labs relentlessly deploys artificial intelligence in everything we do creatively. When we say we’re “All In,” we mean it.
