Just one example of FP1’s field team capabilities is our work with FWD.us, a national bipartisan organization started by key leaders in the tech and business community to promote policies to keep the United States competitive in a global economy, starting with immigration reform.
FP1 oversees field teams in states in nearly half the country, managing advocacy outreach to drive support for immigration reform through earned media outreach, coalition building and Congressional engagement. As result, we continue to reshape the narrative on immigration reform and secure bi-partisan support from elected officials.
Earlier this month, our Oklahoma field team utilized the fact that one of our target Members of Congress in Oklahoma would be in Oklahoma City for August recess to host a roundtable discussion to highlight the positive impact Dreamers are making in the state and across the country, a key FWD.us priority that has received support from nearly 80% of Republicans. Knowing this, our team worked with the Congressman’s staff to schedule the event at the same location. The event successfully brought together over a dozen FWD.us Oklahoma coalition members to show the Congressman the strong support for a legislative solution and lay the foundation for a strong future relationship with FWD.us on this issue and immigration reform in general.
