FP1 Movie Night: Celebrating a Winning Season
Why We’re Celebrating
This award season, our team brought home a record 46 industry honors: 14 Reed Awards, 14 Pollie Awards and 18 Telly Awards. Each award is a testament to the strategy, creativity and precision FP1 brings to every campaign. From targeted media plans to finely crafted visuals, these wins reflect the full spectrum of our work across digital, television, radio and more. Our award-winning content helped tip the scales across a spectrum of races — from statewide sports betting ballot initiatives to a hard-fought Senate flip in Montana, and to highly successful national independent expenditure campaigns that helped Donald Trump win the crucial “Blue Wall” states Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in 2024.
How We Celebrated
To mark the end of awards season, we gathered our full team for a celebration that reflects our passion for political storytelling. We hosted a private screening at the Angelika Pop-Up at Union Market in Washington, D.C., featuring the 1972 political classic The Candidate, starring Robert Redford as Senate hopeful Bill McKay. More than 50 years later, the film still resonates. It remains a sharp portrayal of campaign life, including the behind-the-scenes strategists, consultants and media teams who help shape a candidate’s rise to public office. McKay’s transformation from outsider to contender mirrors the dynamics we see and manage every cycle. And the overall message is clear: great campaigns aren’t accidents. They’re built through smart strategy, creative execution and constant adaptation — exactly the kind of work our team delivers every day.
Before the feature film, we screened a curated reel of our award-winning ads from the cycle, giving the team a chance to see our most impactful work on the big screen. And in true FP1 fashion, we couldn’t resist flexing our production chops further. We also premiered a tongue-in-cheek “Phones Off in the Theater” PSA, starring FP1’s own Terry Nelson and Alex Foster. The PSA captures the spirit of FP1: creative, collaborative and not afraid to have a little fun. Whether it’s a 30-second campaign ad or an internal video project, our production standards stay high and our commitment to quality never wavers.
Reflecting on the Celebration
Award shows and gala nights are always memorable, but this celebration meant a little more. It wasn’t just about trophies (though we proudly posed for a team photo with all 46); it was about acknowledging the intense effort and collaboration behind each win. In political communications, where timelines are tight and the stakes are high, taking a moment to recognize and reflect on excellence is both rare and meaningful.
One night to celebrate. Now, it’s back to work. The next cycle is coming fast, and we’re ready with fresh ideas, sharper tools and a team that knows how to win.
