FP1 Plays Big Role in GOP Statewide Sweep in Virginia

By FP1 Strategies

FP1 is honored to have played a significant role in the Republican Party’s statewide election victories and takeover of the House of Delegates in Virginia on November 2nd.

Chris LaCivita, a Partner at FP1, served as the general consultant to Jason Miyares’ successful campaign for Attorney General. LaCivita also served as the media consultant to Winsome Sears’ successful campaign for Lt. Governor.

“It is a great honor to have helped elect the first Hispanic Attorney General in Virginia history, and the first black woman to hold the office of Lt. Governor,” LaCivita said. “Jason Miyares and Winsome Sears are rising stars who will help broaden the appeal of our party. FP1 is proud to be on their teams.”

In the last 10 days of the election, FP1 produced a hard-hitting law and order ad for the Virginia Citizens Defense League that exposed the soft-on-crime policies of Terry McAuliffe, Hala Ayala and Mark Herring. The ad ran on cable television in Northern Virginia, and on broadcast television in Richmond, Virginia Beach and Roanoke.

FP1 Managing Director Tim Edson managed a statewide digital advertising, direct mail and texting campaign on behalf of Women Speak Out Virginia to mobilize pro-life voters for Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears and Jason Miyares, and to expose the radical positions of several Democratic incumbents in battleground House districts.

In addition to bolstering the top of the ticket, Edson’s advertising for Women Speak Out Virginia helped elect the following Republicans who flipped Democratic House seats:

  • Jason Ballard – District 12
  • Tara Durant – District 28
  • Otto Wachsmann – District 75

FP1 Managing Director Mike Young was the general consultant and media consultant to Tim Anderson and Karen Greenhalgh, who flipped battleground districts in Virginia Beach. Young also consulted to A.C. Cordoza who flipped another Democratic seat, and he advised the winning campaigns of Virginia Beach Sheriff Ken Stolle, Delegate Emily Brewer and Delegate Bill Wiley.

“This election was a stinging indictment of the failed policies of Terry McAuliffe and the liberals in Richmond,” Young said. “Our Delegate candidates ran on a strong message of cutting taxes, reducing the cost of living, improving public education and standing up for law enforcement and public safety. The political environment has turned against the Democrats and FP1 helped our candidates seize the moment.”
