In this installment of “Meet Our Production Pros,” we’re featuring the contributions of one of our road warriors. Alex Foster, who currently serves as a Manager at FP1, spends a lot of time on airplanes and in hotel rooms as he crisscrosses the country for film shoots for our political and public affairs clients. Alex came to FP1 with a background in advance and event management. He uses these organizational skills to help coordinate the logistics of our film shoots and handles everything from testimonial recruitment, coordination of schedules, management of film crews and providing support to our director of photography and directors. Alex is also responsible for booking film crews for our shoots and he helps oversee our proofing team.
“Alex is an important part of our production team,” said Partner Mark Walpole. “He has a positive attitude and is always willing to step up to any task, big or small. I’ve been increasingly impressed by Alex’s smart creative instincts. He’s a big contributor to our entire creative process, and I look forward to working with him as he continues to advance his career at FP1.”
“Alex and I work together on a lot of fast-paced shoots for important clients in the political and public affairs arena,” said Managing Director Lara Veit. “I appreciate the commitment he brings to our business and clients. Alex is always willing to go the extra mile to get the footage we need to make great ads. He’s a trusted partner in our process, a steady hand under pressure and an essential part of our success. I’m truly grateful to have him on our team.”

What’s your alma mater?
I’m a proud graduate of Florida State University – Go Noles!
What did you do prior to joining FP1?
I served as the Deputy Director of Advance for a Cabinet Secretary in the first Trump Administration, helping plan and execute events across the country, and before that I was lucky enough to work on campaigns at all levels of government here in Virginia and Florida.
What do you like best about working at FP1?
Two things stand out – the first is the ability to get out on the road and work with a variety of campaigns across the country. The second is being able to work with the best in the business. From our general consultants, writers, directors, cameramen etc., there is no one who can match up to us.
What’s your favorite FP1 ad?
“Two-Faced Tester” for Tim Sheehy was a fun actor/concept spot we did, and as an added bonus, my family farm served as a location for the shoot.
What’s your favorite FP1 shoot?
In the summer of 2022, we interviewed a handful of veterans for a PAC at the Iwo Jima memorial, and I was able to get my stepfather to participate. It ended up being one of the last times I saw him before he passed, but I will always have the memory of my personal and professional lives merging in such a meaningful way.
What’s your favorite podcast?
I’m an avid golfer, so I listen to almost everything the No Laying Up network puts out.
What’s the last book you read?
I just finished Sunrise on the Reaping, which is the latest installment of The Hunger Games series. If you were a fan of the original trilogy, you’ll love the backstory this provides.
What’s your favorite movie?
Interstellar – McConaughey, Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer combine for a masterpiece that gets better every time.
What’s your favorite thing to do on a Saturday?
A round of golf followed by a fire and a nice dinner at home never fails.
If you could have dinner with one historical figure, who’d it be and why?
Winston Churchill would be fascinating to sit with for a few hours – I’d love to talk about his leadership of England through WWII, from the evacuation of Dunkirk to four years later playing such a large role in the D-Day invasion and having to help put Europe back together postwar.
