What’s your alma mater?
I graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in Political Communication.
How many times have you been promoted at FP1?
Three times — I started as a Staff Assistant right out of college and now I’m a Managing Director.
What do you like best about working at FP1?
On the production team, we work on ads from conception to completion and that’s something I find really rewarding. I’ve also never been much of a desk person, so being on the ground, working directly with testimonials and talent, and bringing our ads to life is what excites me.
What’s your favorite political campaign/candidate?
I don’t like to play favorites, but any work opportunity that takes me to Montana is always a favorite of mine. I just love the state — there’s something about the people, their way of life and that mountain air.
What’s your favorite FP1 shoot and why?
The CLF GA-06 “Thank You, Georgia” shoot during the runoff in 2017 is definitely one of my favorites. It was a bold, out-of-the-box concept with a lot of moving parts — our film set was essentially the entire city of San Francisco, with crew, gear and talent packed into two minivans. I loved pushing the boundaries to create something satirical and unexpected. Most importantly, it moved the needle.
What’s your favorite podcast?
Giggly Squad — it’s a podcast that feels like a conversation with friends. It’s the perfect way to unwind (and giggle) on my drive home from the office.
What’s the last book you read?
The Secret Life of Sunflowers — I love historical fiction, and after visiting Amsterdam earlier this year, I’ve become fascinated with Van Gogh, both on and off the canvas.
What’s your favorite movie?
Crazy Rich Asians — it’s my go-to comfort movie. Plus, it’s always available on Delta flights!
Who’s your favorite Eagles player?
Brian Westbrook was so electric to watch when I was growing up (and I still wear his jersey on Sundays), but these days, I’m all in on Jalen Hurts — his mentality is really impressive. Go Birds!
What’s your favorite thing to do on a Saturday?
I love starting my weekend mornings with an iced oat latte from The Meteor and ending the day with some spicy margaritas at either Whisler’s or Matt’s El Rancho — with fellow Austin colleague and friend, Julia Mirich!
What do you like most about living in Austin?
The laid-back energy and positive attitude in the city are what I love most. The native East Coaster in me is still getting used to how naturally friendly folks are here, but I’m definitely a fan of Texas hospitality.
If you could have dinner with one historical figure, who’d it be and why?
He may not be a historical figure yet, but I’d love to have dinner with Anthony Bourdain. His storytelling, unfiltered commentary, and appreciation for the art of good food would make for an unforgettable conversation over what I’m sure would be an equally unforgettable meal — he’s picking the place, of course.
