In recognition of National Texas Day, FP1 is looking back at some of the high-impact advertising we’ve created for political campaigns in the Lone Star State.
FP1 Managing Partner Rob Jesmer has served as the senior political strategist to U.S. Senator John Cornyn for more than a decade. During his reelection campaign in 2020, FP1 served as Cornyn’s general consultant and digital firm. Founding Partner Jon Downs and Partner Trent Wisecup produced advertising for the Cornyn super PAC that helped disqualify his liberal opponent, MJ Hegar.
In 2012, our team created the advertising that helped political newcomer Ted Cruz defeat Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. By beating Dewhurst in a highly competitive runoff, Cruz punched his ticket to the U.S. Senate. Since 2020, FP1 has served as the media consultants to Congressmen Michael McCaul and Dan Crenshaw. Our “Sadie” ad that chronicled Congressman McCaul’s leadership on childhood cancer research won the Reed Award for Overall Best Television Ad in 2020.
In 2024, our team produced advertising for an IE campaign that helped elect six Texas Republicans to the Legislature. FP1 looks forward to future opportunities to create big, bold ads that elect more great conservatives in the Lone Star State.
